In Ukraine, for a long time St. Nicholas Day has been a significant and joyous holiday of charity. In the modern world there was a good tradition, exactly on St. Nicholas Day to take care of disadvantaged children and young people, giving them gifts.

This year on the 19^th of December CF “Caritas of Ivano-Frankivsk UGCC” presented their wards the unforgettable winter tale on “Ice arena”.

Enchanting St. Nicholas Skating Day gathered over 70 participants, including: young people with special needs, children of migrant families and children without parental care. St. Nicholas holiday is a family holiday, which is given by the Holy Father with love. However, not everyone can feel the parental care on this day. That’s why, Caritas took care of smiles on faces and gifts for children and youth.

The bright colors of theatrical performance was represented by volunteers on a skating rink.

Light-wings angels, horned scatterbrains and other helpers of the holiday gave all the people a good mood and a lot of positive emotions, at the end of the holiday, except sweets St. Nicholas gave one more surprise - skating on the rink. Someone stood on the ice for the first time, while others surprised the audience with skilful skating, someone fell and got up ... However, all were happy.

As outside the window the weather is like a spring, winter holiday atmosphere was provided by the organization of the holiday at the rink. Holiday, gifts have become a symbolic gift, as an evidence of our attention and sincere love for others.
