On the 5^th of December, 2011 the executive director of CF “Caritas of Ivano-Frankivsk UGCC” Natalia Kozakevych took part in the ceremony of awarding the winners of photo competition “Charity through the prism of lens”.

The photo “At the ward Volodymyr Hushkovskyj’s” of the photographer Iryna Lucyuk received a special prize in the nomination “Charity and health protection”.

This is one of the best works that were selected by a professional jury, consisting of the world famous Ukrainian photographers (Igor Hyde and Yuriy Kosin) and the representatives of international funds (Fund «Revival» and C. S. Mott Foundation) and the UN Office in Ukraine.

The photo exhibition “Charity through the prism of lens 2011” is the best 38 images, selected from more than 200 photographs, which came from all over Ukraine. These are the moments of charity in education, culture, health protection and social protection, in sport, in community life and citizen’s initiatives.

“Organizing as I believe, the sincerest photo competition of Ukraine, first of all our aim was to draw attention to this charity, thanks to those who live with it, and inspire other people. Our members showed so many ways to be a benefactor every day, the way charity enriches everyone who gives a piece of himself. A “dividend” is a feeling of self-humanity,” - noted Anna Gulevska-Chernysh, the director of the Ukrainian Forum of benefactors.

The second Ukrainian photo competition “Charity through the prism of lens” was organized by the Ukrainian Forum of benefactors under the patronage of the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine and in partnership with the Program “UN Volunteers”.
