Perhaps in the world no nation suffered such a fate that we did, the Ukrainians : cruel bloodshed since the time of Kyiv Rus until the domination of the Soviet system, and together with it - concentration camps, collectivization, the famine in the villages, brutal destruction of Ukrainian intelligent and young people, arbitrary arrests and repression ...

One of the tasks of the Charitable Foundation “Caritas”, realizing the objectives of the Club of the elderly people "Nadvechir" is an organization of meetings “Dialogue of generations”. Mutual discussion of past historical events and their role in people's lives is the study of history and of historical truth.

On the 2^nd of December, the members of the CF “Caritas of Ivano-Frankivsk UGCC” on the basis of secondary school number 16 in Ivano-Frankivsk held a meeting “Dialogue of generations” with Nastia Humenna. 30 people took part in the communication.

Difficult memories are those memories of a woman when she was 18-year old and was sent to camp of a strict regime, where she suffered 10 years: “... she was exiled in Irkutsk region. When they brought us to the destination, I felt horrror every day and every night. It was difficult to work on the felling-20 cubic meters of wood per day - a rate that must be completed, otherwise, you had to starve. We asked God for only one thing - do not get sick because no one treated you and if someone died, their bodies were torn by wolves. In 40-degree cold wether we worked and didn’t believe it. But God gave strength to believe that better times would come”.

This meeting made it clear that the experience of the older generation is huge, and we have to respect those people of living history, as they did deserve it.
