Recently, in Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Academic Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater in honour of Ivan Franko the social-educational project "Theatre for a healthy nation” started.  This project aims at promoting healthy lifestyles and informing young people of the city and region about the problem of drug’s  addiction and AIDS.

That’s why with the aim to inform youth and parents, guardians about the drug problem within the project "Network of children's social centers for children of migrant workers"  visiting a play "Escape from reality" for 18 people (parents, guardians and children of migrant workers, children from crisis families) was organized.

Running from reality – you run away from yourself... a show for all, about those who lost in the destructive path of their own "I" and life. The tragedy of the time is drugs, highlighted in the production of dismaying nudity.

This play is about a journalist who investigates the case of drugs and risks his life to stop the activities of the drug’s leaders, not knowing that her own daughter was on the wrong way "flight from reality", it is a show-warning that tells Yegor at the end of it "I realized that you can not try anything in life, so as you can not kill."

At a press conference, which was held before the performance by a narcologist of regional drug dispensary Lyubov Gorbachova and she told that more and more young people begin to get drugs. Young people first try the so-called light drugs, and then can not stop.

F. Myroslav Hymeychuk the priest of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Church and f. Yosafat Fitel of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church told about the necessity for parents to talk to their children more and talk about love to spirituality. Because, except for watching the performance for young people educational lectures are also very important, talking about the consequences of drug use.

"This performance was not shown in the theater for already 5-6 years. I once played himself in it, - said the theater director Rostislav Derzhypilskyy. – In the play "Escape from Reality" there are many things, but there is no other way to show this problem. Theatre can not remain aloof of what is happening in society. We care about the younger generation because they are our potential audience."

The play "Escape from Reality" was written by Kyiv-known playwright Tetiana Ivashchenko to the request of small Ukrainian Drama Theater, which in its turn combines the requests and wishes of teachers, parents and youth on the creation of the play about the life of modern youth during weekdays and holidays, fervent love and unexpected ordeal, which ended in their lives as a drug.

Were the play actors able to get out of difficult circumstances, to overcome difficulties, to save their love? Parents and children saw this in an interesting art form without any teachings in the play "Escape from reality." And no one felt indifferent, because in fact, drug addiction is a problem of the present that equally affects all.
