On the photos there are a lot of smiles, jolly hot atmosphere and this all is not a reason of alcohol, not an invitation of super-stars, but because these people are joined with the idea of a common wish to change the world step by step.

On the 5^th of December in most countries people celebrate the World Volunteer Day, which the OUN declared in 1985. The second name of this holiday is the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development.

Volunteers whose work is entirely voluntary and does not require any financial reward, are present in every country and thanks to their free efforts many important programs for social development of state are realized.

On this day the Charitable Foundation “Caritas of Ivano-Frankivsk UGCC” organized “The Holiday of volunteers” for their volunteer-helpers to recognize the efforts of volunteers and to increase public awareness about their contribution to the society.

As the director of Caritas, Father Archpriest Volodymyr Chorniy said “volunteer work deserves great respect and support from the society, because these people that are not indifferent to others' problems create the best business in the world!”

Volunteers celebrated their holiday playfully, with a variety of contests and jokes. “Nice to be in the circle of people who appreciate a friendly company, emotional song with a guitar, smile at no matter what difficulties they have. (And they cope with it!)”, volunteer Irina Karazub shared her emotions.

As long as we are people, we hope for a better future.
