Being healthy, autonomous and independent - that's what we used in our daily lives. Sometimes we even think that someone has all happened quite differently. After all, today we often hear about different cases that occur with people who find themselves waiting, find themselves in a situation where about one reason or another they need help, care. It is therefore very important for everyone to be aware of in self-help and mutual aid, that in any case be able to help themselves, their relatives, friends or just our neighbour.

Such a principle founded in organizing of training programs for the elderly, which holds the Club "Nadvechir" of CF « Caritas Ivano - Frankivsk UGCC». In particular, meeting on the 4 of July 2010 was held to bring practical skills to care for shut-in and postoperative patients, who after discharge from hospital are already in outpatient treatment, and under the patronage of their relatives.

For the training the staff of the project "Elderly Club" Nadvechir "invited Solomchak Petro Volodymyrovych, GKB doctor-surgeon, who informed participants of the general principles of treatment of wounds and the so-called primary treatment of wounds, that in case of an accident should be able to make every ordinary citizen who witnessed the disaster, using the principles of emergency and using improvised materials.

Of course, such treatment can not be called surgical, but timely plays a big role in forecasting the future health of the victim. In addition, the doctor spoke about available certain types of local treatment of wounds, which are often used in practice and have a positive effect. In the process of training a doctor stressed the need for participants to use medication for the treatment of I use medication for the treatment of wounds according to the stages and phases of wound process, which is a very important principle of treating any wounds. To this end, there was a list of solutions, ointments, powder to be applied to treat wounds and badsores, and for the prevention of complications.

Responding to specific questions, Petro gave many tips on prevention of diseases that require surgical intervention. Especially people interested in the problem of varicose veins of lower extremities spreading and opportunities of various complications that arise during the progression of this disease, because older people face with the problem more often.

During training Petro constantly emphasized that each patient or his relatives in the case of health problems should immediately consult a doctor with the prevention of various complications that can evolve with incorrect self-care and treatment without any knowledge, skills and abilities.
